Santa Fe video evidence enhancement

Steadied phone video, isolated porches and brighter night clips

Handheld phone video shakes, and shake hides detail. Stabilization steadies the frame so you can follow one thing at a time. On a doorbell clip, we can isolate the porch, the path or the gate, then slow the moment someone reaches it. A night clip can be brightened and its contrast adjusted, within what the sensor captured.

A face or a plate area can be enlarged with care. Whether it becomes readable depends on how many pixels the camera gave it. No promise comes with it. Identifying people is a different discipline, and one we do not perform. The same goes for audio enhancement, so voices on a doorbell clip stay as recorded.

Small cameras record less after dark

After dark, a doorbell or porch camera that switches to infrared records in grayscale. No color was captured. Small sensors gather little light, and what they missed at night is not in the file.

Compression removes more. Doorbell clips are compressed before they reach the cloud account, and phone video forwarded by text arrives resized. Shop DVRs usually save H.264 or H.265 video, formats that discard fine detail to save space. Distance, motion blur and glare off a sunlit stucco wall add their own limits. Some recordings simply do not hold the answer. The assessment will say so.

Headquartered in Santa Fe, with the work done in-house

We are a video production company headquartered in Santa Fe, ZIP 87507. Enhancement is done by our in-house team. A person on that team makes every judgment about your footage: which frames matter, how far an adjustment goes, what the notes record. The AI agents only run software tools.

Footage handed over in person needs no transfer, so the appointment replaces that step. Everything after it matches the route remote clients take.

  1. Call or email first

Tell us what recorded the footage, roughly how long it runs and the question you need answered. Nothing changes hands yet.

  2. Book a handoff appointment

We agree a time and a place. Bring the drive, the phone or the exported files, plus the player software if the recorder needs one.

  3. Copies made before any work

All work happens on copies of what you hand over.

  4. Your quote and its date

We assess the copy, then quote. The quote carries a delivery date.

  5. Delivery in person or by transfer

Collect the finished files at a second appointment or receive them by controlled transfer, with the original and the written notes alongside.

Custom pricing per project

Forensic video enhancement cost in Santa Fe, and what you receive

An insurer shown a clarified doorbell still will ask what the frame looked like before. So the original sits beside every clarified clip and still, and the same moment can be compared without a specialist in the room. Written notes list each step and its software.

Keep the set together and unedited. When a still goes to your insurer or an attorney, send the original and the notes with it.

Describe the recording to get an accurate quote

Doorbell clips, dashcam files and gallery DVRs with several cameras are different jobs. Each is priced on its own work. For an accurate quote, tell us the device or recorder, roughly how much footage there is, how many cameras saw the moment and the question you need answered. A narrow question means less work. Proprietary player formats add a step.

Timing starts once a usable copy exists

Work starts from a usable copy. If a recorder still needs its files exported, or the handoff appointment is still ahead, the schedule begins once that step is done. Your delivery date arrives with the quote, set by the amount of footage and the work it needs.

Handing over footage in Santa Fe

Leave devices as they are, download doorbell clips, bring the export

Leave the recorder, the phone and the doorbell account as they are. A reset can wipe the only original. Then prepare what you bring. If a trip to our headquarters does not suit you, we arrange a controlled transfer after your inquiry, and footage never travels by email.

  • Export from the DVR or NVR with its own export function, and copy the player software if the files need it.
  • Download doorbell clips from the app or account yourself. Never share the account password with anyone, including us.
  • Ask a witness for the original file from their phone, not a version sent by text, email or social media.
  • Write down the camera, the date and the time range that matter.
  • Skip filming the monitor with a phone. That records the screen, not the footage.
  • If counsel is involved, our documented evidence-handling procedure is shared with them on engagement.

Questions first, then a time to meet

To request a footage assessment, call (505) 629-9447 or email info@skolxmedia.com. Expect a few questions about what recorded the footage, the time range, the question it should answer and any deadline. A handoff or a transfer follows, then the assessment and the quote.

Forensic video enhancement in Santa Fe

Our headquarters city, with in-person handoffs by appointment

Our headquarters is in Santa Fe. We publish no street address. Every in-person handoff is therefore booked: when you call or email, we agree where and when to meet. Our phone, email and appointment details are also on the contact page.

We already meet video production clients by appointment in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Albuquerque is about an hour's drive away. Clients there can bring footage up, or arrange handoffs in Albuquerque instead.

A recorder installed in a shop, gallery or inn never needs to leave. Export the footage to a USB drive and bring that.

Elsewhere in Northern New Mexico, including Las Vegas, New Mexico, the choice is the same: an appointment in Santa Fe, or a controlled transfer we set up after your inquiry. For the method behind every result, see our forensic video enhancement services overview.

Santa Fe forensic video enhancement FAQ

Doorbell, phone and handoff questions

Can Ring or other doorbell camera footage be enhanced?

Yes, within limits. Download the clip from the Ring app or account yourself instead of recording your screen, and keep the password to yourself. Ring, Nest and similar doorbells compress every clip, and night clips shot in infrared are grayscale, so both cap what clarification can show. We add nothing to what the doorbell recorded.

Can we see our footage before and after enhancement?

Yes. Every clarified clip and still is delivered with its original beside it, so you can compare the same frames yourself. No sample comparisons are published here yet. The first before and after you see will be your own footage.

Can I hand over a drive or phone in person in Santa Fe?

Yes, by appointment. Call (505) 629-9447 or email info@skolxmedia.com to set a time. The meeting place is agreed when you book, since no street address is published. Bring the drive or phone as it is. If a visit is impractical, ask for a controlled transfer instead.

Can a witness's phone video be enhanced?

It can, starting from the right file. Ask the witness for the original video from their phone, because a copy sent by text, email or social media has been recompressed and resized along the way. Shake can be steadied and a dim scene brightened. Detail the phone never recorded will not appear.

Can night vision footage be shown in color?

No. A camera in infrared night mode records light levels without color, so the file holds no color to bring out. Adding color would mean inventing it. We will not. Contrast and brightness can still be adjusted within what was recorded, which can make shapes and movement easier to follow.

Do you work with clients in Las Vegas, New Mexico?

Yes. Clients in Las Vegas, New Mexico are served from our Santa Fe headquarters, by an appointment in person or a controlled transfer. Readers who meant the city in Nevada are after forensic video enhancement in Las Vegas, Nevada, a separate market we serve remotely.
